Neurofibroma of the stomach

Abstract
|

|
A case of neurofibroma of stomach was encountered at Department of General Surgery, Capital Army Hospital, recently.
The patient had indigestion, epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting and weight loss, and was evaluated with various studies to give the impression of pyloric stenosis due to peptic ulcer. However, the exploratory laparotomy disclosed a benign neoplastic mass on stomach and it is diagnosed as a neurofibroma of the stomach on pathological examination.
The neurofibroma of the stomach is very rare and has been appeared very little in the world literatures. There is no report of a case yet in domestic literatures.
